Coming up on July 14th.
Bastille Day.
A selection of some great French restaurants in Chiang Mai.
Let’s celebrate the French National Day (Bastille Day) in Chiang Mai with some typical French cuisine and some French activities. It will be on July the 14th!
Very proud of their history and particularly passionate about Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity, the French celebrate this momentous occasion with gusto. Francophiles and French nationals around the globe celebrate with food, wine, soccer and more! In Chiang Mai, the celebrations might be a bit less flashy, but it is possible to turn your day into une très belle journée à la Française.
Let’s start the day with some delicious croissants, maybe from Nana Bakery? They have many branches around town, including at Nong Hoy, Santitham, Chang Kian, Sarapee, Sanpatong and Kad Farang.

And for the perfect French pastry, try one from L’Opéra French Bakery which is famous for their typical French breakfast with baguette and delicious tarts (our favorite is the strawberry tart)

She creates the same fascinating cakes and fruit sculptures as the ones in Paris: Orange Bliss, Mr. Autumn, cake au citron and so many more. For a light lunch she also prepares French traditional crepes with ham and eggs.
