A new cosy and relaxing café, Café Kantary has opened on Hang Dong Road in Kad Farang. Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, along with a variety of sweet treats and savoury platters, this new branch of Café Kantary is the ideal setting to share a delicious lunch, fancy dessert or relaxing coffee. This beautiful café is operated by the prestigious chain of hotels and serviced apartments, Cape & Kantary Hotels, and is gaining a reputation among locals and visitors for its home-made desserts and delectable dishes that come in generous portions enough to share.
House specialities include Hokkaido Salad (THB 230) with home-made sesame dressing, featuring salmon, tuna, squid, flying fish roe and Japanese seaweed. Then there
is Tom Yam Kung Shrimp Rice, and Fried Rice with Crispy Rice. Also famous are the different pizzas, especially the thin and crispy Smoked Salmon Pizza. For dessert, don’t miss the Oh Là Là Honey Toast (THB 160), a milk-based toast that is dipped in butter before being baked and served with sliced almonds, fresh whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and honey. Other bakery favourites
are the Banana in Black Crêpe and a variety of exotic fruity crêpes.
Café Kantary has two branches in Chiang Mai: the first one is on Nimmanhemin Road in front of Kantary Hills Hotel and the second one is at Kad Farang. Other branches nationwide are located at Phuket, Rayong, Sriracha, Ayutthaya, Prachinburi and-Bangsaen. The Café is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (weekdays) and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weekends).
