This creates a truly relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

While visiting, your first stop should be the “Don Luang Association and Cotton Museum”. This is where Auntie Somboon Yajan shows the techniques of cotton weaving on a 100-year-old loom that used to belong to her grandmother. She dyes, spins, and weaves the cotton by hand in the true traditional style, and she will kindly let you experience hands-on techniques on her loom.

Skilled artisans handpick the finest cotton balls and delicately separate the seeds, ensuring only the highest quality fibers are used.

These fibers are then spun into smooth threads using traditional spinning wheels, resulting in a nostalgic sight. The threads are dyed using natural plant-based dyes, creating vibrant and mesmerising colours. With remarkable precision and incredible skill, weavers create intricate patterns on traditional wooden looms, often passing down the techniques from one generation to the next.
