Umbrella Fair

@ Bo Sang Umbrella Village, Sankampaeng.
This beautiful three-day festival features thousands of colored umbrellas in the streets of Bo Sang Village. Umbrellas are often made from Saa paper with colorful drawings on them. On day number three (Sunday), there will be a parade and beauty pageant for the election of Miss Bo Sang 2019.
Jazz Festival

This eighth edition of Chiang Mai Jazz Festival will get the “Rose of the North” swinging once again. International and local talents will be numerous including: New Yorker Saxophonist and Flutist Mitch Frohman, Kobe-born Japanese Takahiro Miyazaki playing saxophone, American trumpeter Steve Cannon will master everything from Latin salsa to bebop jazz, and many many more artists to join in.
Tattoo Festival

The 2nd edition of the International Chiang Mai Tattoo Festival will be celebrated at Central Airport Plaza. It is the most exciting and anticipated celebration of body art in Chiang Mai. Over 150 tattoo artists from Thailand and abroad will join together. Last year, the event was joined by Uncle Alla, Matt Hekensho, Shige Yellowblaze and many more artists.
Flower Festival
1-3 February, 2019
@ Suan Buak Haad Park, Chiang Mai.
This beautiful event takes place in the beginning of February. Expect beautiful flower exhibitions, entertainment, food fair and a truly unique parade on Saturday 4th, 9am to 12am.
The road next to Suan Buak Haad Park will be closed to traffic. Vendors of pants, flowers, orchids and garden decorations will set up stalls.
It is a very colourful festival. The flower parade lines up along Chareon Muang Road, all the way from railway station to Nawarat Bridge. The parade then starts and moves up Thapae Road to Thapae Gate. Then turns left and follows the moat to Suan Buak Had Park.
Creative Art
January 5-10 2019

Oil paintings and reproductions of former paintings, Pieter van Mierlo will exhibit his work in Chiang Mai, at The Empress Hotel, this January. The artist, who is now 91 years old, has always been inspired by Gaugin’s work. His solo art exhibition will be going on from January 5th to 10th, 2019.
