Coming up this February in Chiang Mai are the Flower Festival & Charming Chiang Mai Fair. Organized during the cool season and blooming period of the local breeds, these two events will be featuring exquisite and colorful flowers and plants. Make sure your camera and/or phone’s batteries are fully charged.
Vaccination prove will be requested to enter each event.
The 2022’s edition of the Flower Festival will be held at Suan Buak Haad Public Park, at the southwest corner of the old city, from February 4-6th, 2022 (7.30 am to 10.00pm). There will be no parade this year but many flower chars will be showcase in the park. The Suan Buak Haad Park is already famous amongst early morning walkers and evening sport enthusiasts; during the flower festival, it turns into a tapestry of floral and agricultural beauty featuring orchids, all kind of flowers and trees as well as bonsai. There will be no parade this year but many flower floats will be on display at the park, each of them being beautifully decorated with thousands of flowers, petals and plants. Visitors will be limited to 100 people at a time and one hour per visit.
The second event, being Charming Chiang Mai Fair, will be held from 1-15th February, 2022. This event will be held at the 82 Years Royal Park, which is located on canal road, opposite 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium and next to the Green Lake Resort. The area is almost 27 rai, it will showcase many flower sculptures and flower arrangements with tulips, hydrangea, begonia, petunia, ferns etc… There will also be winter trees and flowers zoning, light and sound event, night time illuminations and musical concerts at 6pm, 7pm and 8:30pm.
For both events, don’t forget to bring your proof of vaccination.
