The Phuket Vegetarian Festival is an annual event. It is believed that this festival accompanies sacred rituals bestow good fortune upon those who religiously observe a 10 day vegetarian of vegan diet for the purpose of spiritual cleansing and merit making.

Awk Phansa (End of Buddhist Lent)

Awk Phansa marks the end of the three-month Buddhist Lent period and the traditional end of the rainy season. The final day of the Buddhist Lent period falls on the full-moon day of the eleventh lunar moon and is known as Awk Phansa.
According to Buddhist belief, the day commemorates when Buddha descended back to earth after spending three months in heaven where he had visited his mother. His return was greeted by his followers with gifts of food and today Thai Buddhists mark the event by visiting temples and making merit.
Naga Fireball Phenomenon

In Nong Khai, near the border of Laos, on the nights, before and after the fast, you can see in the sky along the river reddish fire balls rising from the ground up to several hundred meters.
Some people say that the Lao soldiers shoot those balls, while other think that the fire balls are shot come from the mouths of snakes that live in the river. It is a beautiful event that attracts hundreds of locals and visitors.

Lopburi Monkey Buffet

Lopburi, in Northern Thailand, is already famous for its Khmer temple crowded with monkeys, but every year in November the whole town goes ape when visitors from Thailand and beyond come to watch 2,000 macaques feast on a lavish buffet laid out in their honour during the Monkey Buffet Festival.
The festival is held every year on the last Sunday of November which is the 27 in 2022. Usually there are four banquets that day which take place at four different times, at 10am, 12am, 2pm and 4pm after an official opening ceremony.
Loy Krathong Festival (The Festival of Lights)

As the full moon of the twelfth lunar month lights up the sky throughout the Thai kingdom, hundreds of thousands of ornately-decorated leaf floats are set adrift in rivers and waterways in a spell-binding ritual called “Loy Krathong”, the festival of lights.
This is one of the country’s oldest and best preserved traditions and one of Chiang Mai most beautiful event.
