Now that we can re-enter Chiang Mai again, how about a short drive to Chiang Dao?
This city is quiet, relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature and so green at this time of the year. Plus, it is less than an hour drive from Chiang Mai.
Places to see in Chiang Dao include Chiang Dao Caves, hot springs plus some delicious restaurants (sea food and burgers).
Not only are the caves interesting to visit, but the surrounding temple is very intriguing with a chedi dating back from a fifty to sixty years and another chedi with eight giant Buddhas.
Unfortunately you won't be able to drive to Doi Luang mountain, as the national park is not open yet. But just watching this majestic mountain is one of my preferred activities. Try it! Sit and watch Doi Luang mountain with, as a background, an ever changing blue sky and cloud parade. My mind can keep dancing all day with the clouds.
