All their balloons are registered and undergo annual inspections by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, complying with Thai Aviation Regulations. The flights are managed by experienced pilots with commercial pilot licenses, and each flight is closely monitored by Chiang Mai’s Airport Tower.

   As you leisurely float in the sky above rice fields, treetops, and orchards, your pilot will offer insights about the area and its landmarks. The rainy season in Thailand is the best time for ballooning, with a chance to experience an amazing flight amidst a sea of mist, especially after a morning shower. The intensively green and refreshing rice fields provide a stunning view, which gradually transforms into a golden yellow spectacle towards October. From up above, you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic countryside view and witness a stunning sunrise.

   Believe us, it’s absolutely worth waking up before dawn to experience a sunrise balloon flight. Your flight will take you to approximately 2,000 feet above the ground and last for about 45 minutes, depending on the wind conditions of the day.

   The entire adventure lasts for at least 3 hours. The operator provides a complimentary hotel transfer to the launch site and welcomes you with drinks and coffee. You can observe the fascinating pre-flight setup and inflation process of the hot air balloons.

How to Get Ready For Balloon Flight: 

When do flights take off? 

• The Sunrise Hot Air Balloons ride usually takes off around 6:00-6:30 am, depending on the time of sunrise.

What to wear?

• Be sure to wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be on your feet for 45 minutes, and there might be a possibility of landing in a rice field or wet area. Don’t forget to bring a fully charged camera or mobile phone to capture your best memories.
