In June 2017, two white tiger cubs were born at Tiger Kingdom in Chiang Mai. Franc and Dollar are born from mothers Wenphet and Gnenlan. At birth they were just a few hundred grams and now they are weighing around 20 kilos each. White tigers are a genetic variation of the better-known orange Bengal tigers. As a hereditary condition they are affected by albinism, which errates their main characteristic, their white colour. They are extremely difficult to find in the wild and can mainly only be seen in captivity. Tiger Kingdom is therefore delighted to have two new white tigers. Visitors will be able to see and take pictures with the cute little white tigers, Dollar and Franc, everyday from 9am to 5.30pm.
