enjoy seeing the different steps involved in celadon making when visiting their factory.
Now, Siam Celadon has added a new activity to their creative business: a trendy workshop of celadon painting in their garden. This workshop features step-by-step instructions to help you draw and paint your own celadon plate. Plus you can take back home this very unique souvenir from Chiang Mai. Play, design and mix the different basic colors of magenta, cyan, green and brown and create your perfect “My” celadon plate. You can personalize it with your own words and quotes, then Siam Celadon will dip it into a glaze solution and fire it for 8 to 10 hours. This relaxing workshop can be found in the garden of Siam Celadon factory, located on Sankampaeng Road. Or you can choose to do it in their city’s tea house and shop- Raming Tea House-Siam Celadon. For now over a decade, this place has been a favorite meeting place for both visitors and residents. It is located on Thapae road. Having afternoon tea in the garden or on terrace at Raming Tea house in an enjoyable way to end a busy day exploring Chiang Mai. This beautiful colonial style building is made entirely of teak wood and dates back to the 19th century. It was renovated in 2004 and has won many awards ever since.
